Duke University's Fitzpatrick Institute for Photonics (FIP) actively encourages close collaboration with our corporate partners and promotes technology transfer for regional economic. The Corporate Partnership Program (CPP) is designed to strengthen interactions between FIP faculty and industrial developers and to enhance the translational aspects of our educational and research programs. We continue to actively promote technology transfer for regional economic development by collaborating with our academic partners in the North Carolina Photonics Consortium (CPC) and by participating in regional photonics clusters. Several start-up companies have been successfully founded by FIP investigators.
