FITZPATRICK INSTITUTE FOR PHOTONICS
DUKE UNIVERSITY Many distinguished donors have contributed to the Pratt School of Engineering scholarship endowment funds to assist Engineering Graduate Students in their studies at Duke University.Recent donors of The Fitzpatrick Institute for Photonics fellowships have been Brian and Jean Addy Fellowship (2004) and our most current endowment is the John T. Chambers Fellowship.
APPLYING FOR GRADUATE FELLOWSHIPS: All known details regarding these fellowships are sent out to the FIP Faculty requesting nominations for a student.The nominations are then forwarded to a FIP Awards Committee for further evaluation and selection.
Fellowships may be offered to incoming students, existing students or both.Please check with your advisor to discuss whether you are a candidate for any fellowship
JOHN T. CHAMBERS FELLOWSHIP
The John Chambers Fellowship program is part of The John T. Chambers Scholarship Endowment Fund which provides scholarship money for graduate engineering students interested in Fitzpatrick Institute research who have demonstrated excellence in both their classroom activities and their participation in Duke activities.
Each candidate was nominated by a Fitzpatrick Institute for Photonics (FIP) Professor and judged on the criteria of research accomplishments, research potential, personal qualities and collaborative potential by the FIP Awards Committee.
