EDUCATION SUPPORT SERVICES

The Fitzpatrick
Institute for Photonics (FIP) is supportive in providing assistance for
all FIP members in as many areas as possible to support their research
and education. Currently, we provide FIP Friday Breakfasts allowing
students the chance to collaborate and discuss their projects with one
another. Another service that we provide is free poster printing for
all FIP members.

FREE EDUCATIONAL POSTER SERVICE TO FIP MEMBERS
|
The
Fitzpatrick Institute for Photonics (FIP) in cooperation with Martin
Brooke, Professor Electrical Computer and Engineering offers services
to all FIP faculty and students of poster printing for educational
purposes at no charge.
In most cases, the FIP member can
contact August Burns, Business Manager for FIP and should be able to
print a poster within 3 business days. There are exceptions during
preparation for the Annual FIP Symposium which all FIP members will be
notified of printing deadlines at that time.
REQUIREMENTS:
Posters can ONLY be printed in Powerpoint (.ppt) or Adobe (.pdf) format.
Powerpoint is the preferred format.
Posters MUST have a least one side of poster 40” or less.
You
may email the .ppt or .pdf to August Burns and she will print the
poster and call you once it is printed. If your file is too large to
transfer via email, you may schedule an appointment with August Burns
to bring your file on cd or flashdrive.
The paper is generally Hewlitt Packard heavy weight white paper (non-glossy).
The printer is a HP DesignJet 5500ps.
